I was privileged to grow up with artists and creative people. I was always allowed to do what I wanted at home, cut, glue and sew. Mum let me use the sewing machine from before I could reach down to the pedal.

Textiles have always fascinated me. It gives so much coziness and warmth to a home.

My father was a frame maker and I learned through my mother's milk that good craftsmanship is EVERYTHING. No shortcut around it, no cheating. The only thing that lasts is what takes a long time to make. Build the foundation properly or the house will collapse, he always said.

In 2007, my husband and I moved to France with our two young children to rehabilitate an old dilapidated stone farm from 1399. The house is located on a small hill (colline), hence the name. Ma Colline which means "my colle". We ended up living there for 3 years. We had to do a lot ourselves, so my passion for textiles and sewing only grew even stronger. When we moved home I decided to do something about this. I bought a sewing machine and rented a small room. This became my life.

Ma Colline is located in an old milk shop on a corner of Majorstuen. You are welcome here for an informal interior chat. We collaborate with a sculptor and a photographer from France and sell their exceptionally beautiful works here.

We have assignments for, and sell to, interior architects, property developers, hotels, restaurants, companies and private individuals. 

Due to high demand, we have now also opened an online store. Here you can buy some of what we have in store, but we still hope you have the opportunity to visit us one day, as knowledge of our customers and cooperation over time gives the best results.

I couldn't do this without amazing people around me. My sewing ladies, she who cuts and he who collects and delivers, the photographer, the web lady and my little family who put up with all my ideas and long working days.
